Anyone with a phone can report a problem by writing to your organization’s Telegram bot, and it arrives in Asset Infinity as a work request, numbered and waiting for triage.
In this walkthrough we set it up on a facility management company, step by step:
- Create your own bot with BotFather and paste its token into Settings → Notifications → Telegram
- Add the bot to a team group and send a test, so notifications have somewhere to go
- Connect each person’s Telegram from their own profile with a one-time link and a tap on Start
- Report a problem in a message: the first line becomes the summary, the rest the description, and the bot replies with the request number
- Send a photo with a caption and it is attached to the request
- See what happens when someone who hasn’t connected writes to the bot
- Find every report in the Work Requests inbox (Source: Telegram), and every message the bot received under What arrived
